We will be filling orders in the order they are placed and anticipate begining to ship in April of 2026 on all of our Meat offerings.

Our Dutch Belted cattle and Idaho Pasture Pigs live as nature intended: under open skies, breathing fresh air, grazing lush grass, and drinking clean mountain water. Raised without antibiotics, hormones, vaccines, corn, or soy, they thrive at peak health—converting sunlight and pasture into nutrient-dense meat that truly nourishes our community.
These heritage breeds, untouched by industrial manipulation, carry forward genetics rooted in resilience, flavor, and balance. Their calm, protected environment allows them to express their natural instincts—rooting, grazing, roaming freely—while their movement across the land restores soil health, builds fertility, and adds biodiversity year after year.
The result is meat that is richer in Omega-3s and CLAs, denser per cubic inch, and far superior in nourishment and taste. From the pasture to your plate, our mission is simple: to raise animals with integrity so that families can eat with confidence, knowing their food heals both body and land.
Our beef comes from heritage Dutch Belted cattle — a breed renowned for thriving on grass alone while producing meat that’s clean, tender, and richly flavored without the “gamey” taste often associated with grass-fed beef. Because these cattle remain genetically untouched from their ancestral lineage, they naturally convert pasture into balanced nutrition, resulting in beef with exceptional depth of flavor, beautiful natural marbling, and a smooth, satisfying finish. It’s one of the healthiest and most nutrient-dense meats you can feed your family.
Our cattle never receive corn, soy, vaccines, antibiotics, or hormones. They are raised the way it could have been done 200 years ago — slowly, naturally, and humanely — and that dedication shows in every bite.
Our pork is raised the old-fashioned way — outdoors on open pasture with room to root, roam, and express their natural instincts. Fed a clean, soy-free and corn-free diet, our pigs develop a naturally rich and robust flavor that stands worlds apart from conventional pork. Their meat carries a beautiful rose-colored hue, a firm yet tender texture, and healthy, well-structured fats that render into exceptional sweetness and depth — a true reflection of real pasture and slow, natural growth.
Because our pigs live actively on forage and grow at their own pace, their meat holds a richness and nutritional integrity that confinement systems simply can’t recreate. Our hogs are never given vaccines, antibiotics, or hormones — raised exactly as they should be, with respect for the animal, the land, and the food that ultimately nourishes your family.
Our Farmhouse Boxes are built for real families and everyday kitchens — stocked with the essentials you use most often. Each box includes classic staples like ground beef, shaved beef for sandwiches, burger patties, loose ground sausage, and links in both brat and breakfast styles. Available as All Beef, All Pork, or a Mixed Beef & Pork option, these boxes make it simple and affordable to cook wholesome meals at home. Available in-store or for convenient mail-order shipment.
Curated for those who love to cook and savor the finer cuts, our Rancher's Box includes the same essentials found in the Farmhouse Box, plus premium additions like our nitrate-free bacon, specialty buckboard bacon, thick-cut pork chops, and dry-aged steaks. It’s the perfect mix of everyday staples and special-occasion favorites. Available as All Beef, All Pork, or a Mixed Beef & Pork option, these boxes make it simple to enjoy wholesome, pasture-raised meals at home. Available in-store or for convenient mail-order shipment.

For those who prefer to hand-pick their favorites, we offer nearly all of our cuts à la carte in our on-farm store. Choose one package at a time — perfect for first-time customers wanting to experience the Virginia Gold difference, or for locals who enjoy shopping our farm store in person.

The ultimate way to stock your freezer and secure the best price per pound. We currently offer half and whole hog options, custom cut and packaged in a USDA facility. A whole hog yields about 110 lbs of meat, and a half yields about 55 lbs, each prepared in convenient 1lb packages. You’ll receive everything from bacon, buckboard, jowl bacon, chops, and ribs to your choice of sausage flavor and style — all pasture-raised, nutrient-dense, and ready to enjoy all year long.
Typically requires pick up at our on-site Farm Shop.
